Molybdenum, 4-5-6-7-tet is playable as a quartet, quintet, sextet or septet depending on player availability.
Cellos 5, 6, & 7 double Cellos 2, 3 & 4, but not entirely as the cellists will soon find out. Parts unique to Cellos 5, 6 & 7 are expendable when necessary but extremely welcome when present. Omnipotence is the point and sometimes less is more—and then again, sometimes more is more.
